Do I have to live in New Town to become a member of The Commons Fitness Center?No, you do not have to live in New Town to be a member of The Commons Fitness Center. All are welcome. All New Town businesses are open to the public. The Commons wants to spread the word and make that known so that people are not even thinking about needing to ask that question.

Can I take a tour on the weekend or evening?We will always do our best to accommodate the needs of our guests. If there isn't a time slot listed that works with your schedule, please send an e-mail to workout@commonsfit.com and someone will get in touch with you to schedule a time that works for you.

Are kids allowed to join?Kids are not allowed in the gym at this time. However, we are working to add pop-up kids’ classes in the future, so join our mailing list and follow us on Facebook to stay up to date!

Do you have contracts?Unlike other gyms, we offer a month-to-month plan for $29/month and add a family member for just $19 more. You can also save 10% by paying annually. Check out all of our plans at commonsfit.com/memberships.

Can I try out the gym before signing up?Yes! Not only can you schedule a tour to check out the gym, but we also offer a day pass for just $5 or a week pass for $15.

Are there cancellation fees?No, because everybody hates cancellation fees!

I think I have Renew Active. How do I know for sure?You can go to -partneroptumfitness.com to check your status. You will need your Health Plan Member ID. If you would prefer, we are happy to help you find out! E-mail us at workout@commonsfit.com and we will contact you directly.

What do I do if there is no toilet paper/paper towels or there is a mess in the gym?Please call or text 636-493-0307 for immediate assistance.

Can my teenage child come with me if I purchase a membership for both of us?We do not allow individuals in the fitness center under the age of 18 due to liability issues.

How do I schedule an appointment with a personal trainer?Go to commonsfit.com/services and select ‘Personal Training’ we have many options to choose from.

How do I contact my personal trainer?You can e-mail workout@commonsfit.com. However, we suggest you ask your trainer for their personal e-mail address or phone number so that you may contact them in case of emergency or cancellation.

I don’t know how to use the equipment. Is there someone to show me how it works?We offer equipment familiarization with one of our personal trainers, Preston. Simply click the link below. The cost is $30 for a 30-minute session.

I signed up my parents for a membership with Silver Sneakers, and they don’t have a phone to access the doors. How will they get in?We offer a key fob for those without a smart phone. You will need to e-mail us at workout@commonsfit.com.

Can my personal trainer work with me in your facility?We allow freelance personal trainers. However, it will require that your personal trainer also have their own membership with Commons Fitness.

I followed the link to see if I qualify for Silver Sneakers. Why does it say I don’t?Unfortunately, not all Medicare plans cover Silver Sneakers.

Do you have locker rooms and showers?We do not have locker rooms or showers. The gym offers a traditional bathroom.

How do I sign up for a tour?Click If there isn't a time slot listed that works with your schedule, please send an e-mail to workout@commonsfit.com and someone will get in touch with you to schedule a time that works for you.

How do I cancel my subscription?Login to your account at -commonsfit.com. Go to your Name and Person Icon, select “My Account” from the drop down menu. From there, click on the “Subscriptions” header. You can view your and cancel your subscriptions here. Please note, you will have access to the facility until the end of your billing cycle.

Can I bring a guest?Your guests can purchase a day pass for just $5 at commonsfit.com/services.

Can I pause my membership if I am traveling or out of town for more than a month?Yes, please send an e-mail with your request before your billing cycle for the month(s) you need to pause. You will need to send an additional e-mail requesting to resume your membership. The e-mail is workout@commonsfit.com.

I think I have Silver Sneakers. How do I know for sure?You can check directly online at -silversneakers.com. You will need your insurance information. If you would prefer, we are happy to help you find out! E-mail us at workout@commonsfit.com and we will contact you directly.

What do I do if my key fob doesn’t work?You can call 636-493-0307 for immediate assistance. If your key fob is consistently having issues, please send an e-mail to workout@commonsfit.com.

What do I do if I can't get into the gym with my phone?If you are unable to use your phone to download and use the KISI door access app, please send us an e-mail. We have key fobs as a back up to our system.

What do I do if I canceled my membership but am still getting billed?Please send an e-mail to workout@commonsfit.com.

How do I change the e-mail on my account?Please send us an e-mail and we can make the necessary changes. We will need your original e-mail and the updated one.

My credit card was hacked. How do I change my card information?Log in to your account on our website. Go to “My Account” and select “My Wallet.” From here, you can update your card information.

How do I sign-in to my account?Go to commonsfit.com. Click on the person icon to login. This will be located in the upper left corner. Your username and password will be the e-mail address you provided and the password you created at sign up.

What if I don’t remember the e-mail I used for my account?You can e-mail us at workout@commonsfit.com and provide us with your first and last name. If you have a current membership, we should be able to provide you with the e-mail address on file for your account.

Can I change my monthly membership to an annual membership?Yes, but you would need to first cancel your membership. Your membership will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle. On or before the end of the billing cycle, you can re-sign up for a membership and select the annual membership.
